P.E. Class this week, February 4 to February 8, 2013

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:
-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots
Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.

1.  Race day is not the day to try new shoes, eat new foods, or wear brand new clothing.
2.Do not try a marathon as your first race.
3.For races longer than 5k start out slower than you think you should.
4.If you conserve your energy during the first half of a race, you can finish strong.
5.When you pick up drinking cups at aid stations, squeeze gently so it folds slightly and is easier to drink from it while you are moving.
6.A plastic garbage on race day is a very fashionable cheap disposable raincoat.
… Will continue

P.E. Class this week
Pre-Kinder
We are having a lot of fun with pre-kinder as we are learning to do warm ups and exercises that the students can do if they follow instructions (such as “Follow the Leader” and boys and girls races).

Kindergarten
We are still developing gross motor skills by playing “The Scorpion Game” and running obstacles races.

First grade
We are still developing volleyball pre-sport activities by doing volleys in pairs using the official size ball.

Second grade
We will be doing volleys in pairs and threes using a volley ball. These activities will lead to the development of volleyball pre-sport activities.

Third grade
We continue developing teamwork activities, by working on volley activities in pairs and circles. These help students to develop volleyball pre-sport activities.

Fourth grade
