P.E. Class this week, December 17 to December 18, 2012 

1.  On long runs eat something every hour—whether you feel like it or not.
2.During longer runs if you don’t like to carry water take some cash in your pocket pouch or a shoe wallet. Run a route where there’s a corner store that you can use as a pit stop to pick up your water and maybe use the bathroom.
3.Avoid eating spicy foods before running and the night before your long runs.
4.To aid recovery the most crucial time to eat and drink is in the hour immediately after you run.

-The Song Fest is scheduled to begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.

-Seniors 2013 and DPTO will be selling food and drinks that evening, so please plan to arrive early. Traffic tends to be especially hectic this time of year, so please plan accordingly.

P.E. Class this week, December 10 to December 14, 2012

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:
-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots
Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.

1.  Buy the powdered sports drink mix instead of premixed. It’s cheaper and more similar to race drink mixes.
2.Each pound you lose makes running a little easier.
3.Hydrate. Make it a habit to drink water throughout the day.
4.If you are running very long distance drink enough electrolytes (e.g. Gatorade).

P.E. CLASS December 10 to 14
Pre-Kinder
The students are going to enjoy different types of scoops games, to continue developing their motor skills.

Kinder  
This week will begin to develop pre-sport skills for basketball; we will include some races activities to strengthen motor skills.

First  
We are working on basketball pre-sports activities, we are learning how to bounce, and catch the ball in a proper way.

Second
We will continue learning some basketball pre-sports activities, such us bouncing and throwing, to develop skills for the basketball game. We also carried out activities to develop speed and endurance.

Third
This week we will learn techniques to play basketball by pre-sports activities such us bouncing throwing and catching the ball. We are also going to develop speed and endurance activities.

Fourth
The students will continue developing throwing and catching activities to introduce the students to the tennis game through paddles, which is a tennis pre-sport activity. 

Fifth
Students will continue practicing pre-sports activities to introduce them, the tennis game by paddles.

P.E. Class this week, December 3 to December 7, 2012

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:

1.  Don’t expect every run to be better than the last one; some of them will hurt.
2.Don’t think too much about it or you won’t do it.
3.Even a bad run is better than no run at all.
4.If you normally run with music try skipping it and listening to your feet to hear your pace and your gait.
5.Don’t be discouraged if you don’t experience weight loss immediately.
6.Start a running blog and read other running blogs regularly.
7.Running is not an excuse to triple your intake of doughnuts because runners gain weight too.

Pre-Kinder
We are continue to work develop motor skills through the manipulation of various objects, these week we will work with scoops and plastic balls.

Kinder
The students are going to enjoy different types of scoops games, to continue developing their motor skills.

First
This week we are going to begin developing basketball pre-sport activities, we using different sizes of basketballs to develop skills for the basketball game.

Second 
This week will begin to develop pre-sport skills for basketball; we will include some races activities to strengthen motor skills.

Third   
We are working on basketball pre-sports activities, we are learning how to bounce, and catch the ball in a proper way.

Fourth
The students are going to develop throwing and catching activities to introduce the students to the tennis game through paddles, which is a tennis pre-sport activity. 

Fifth
Students will practice pre-sports activities to introduce the tennis game by paddles.
