P.E. Class last week May 25 to May 29, 2015

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:
-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots

Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.

ARTIFICIAL TURF (SOCCER FIELD AND PRE-SCHOOL AREAS) - 
Students may use tennis shoes, rubber-cleated soccer shoes, or other soft footwear. Everyone should be aware that high-heeled shoes are very damaging to this turf, and women should bring an extra pair of shoes if they wish to enter of these areas. Thank you.  (Dr. Ketterer)

MERLIN SCHOOL PICTURES – The pictures orders and other products have arrived, and to prevent any damage to the pictures and/or products, they are available for pick up in Ms. Karla Soto’s office (in the reception area).

SCHOOL YEARBOOK 2014-2015:  Our yearbooks (printed in the US) have finally arrived, and will be sold this week.  You can pre-order your copy with Ms. Karla Soto stopping by her office or emailing her at dsmarketing@discoveryschool.edu.hn.  Save your copy before we run out of yearbooks.  Don’t miss out on having your school memories!

PINEAPPLE AND PAPAYA INITIATIVE – The planting of papayas and pineapples has begun! Thanks to all the students who brought the pineapple crowns, but we still need more!!! Please bring them to Ms. Cristiana’s room, and be a part of this wonderful project!

For Nursery to 4thGrade:
SUMMER CAMP  Discovery Zone 6 is back! Get an early registration! The Summer Camp will run from June 8-26, from 8:00 to 11: 50 a.m.  Please ask Ms. Valencia Duron for more informationvduron@discoveryschool.edu.hn

P.E. Class last week
The season is getting hotter! It is recommended for children to wear sunblock and always have their water bottle with them.

PRE-KINDER
We are having a lot of fun with pre-kinder as we are learning to do warm ups and exercises that the students can do if they follow instructions (such as “Follow the Leader” and boys and girls races). 

Kindergarten
We are going to play in pairs and threes a volleyball game.

First Grade
We continue working in volleyball game in pairs and circles. 

Second to Fourth grade
We are developing teamwork by doing volleyball games.

Fifth Grade
We are playing volleyball games and following some of the official rules.
