P.E. Class this week,
March 9 to March 13, 2015
I would like to remind parents to send
your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E.
class:

No dresses for the girls
-
No jeans
-
No crocks
-
No sandals
-
No boots
Children
who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate
in P.E. class.
General Information
ARTIFICIAL TURF (SOCCER FIELD AND PRE-SCHOOL
AREAS) -
Students may use tennis shoes, rubber-cleated
soccer shoes, or other soft footwear. Everyone should be aware that high-heeled
shoes are very damaging to this turf, and women should bring an extra pair of
shoes if they wish to enter of these areas. Thank you. (Dr. Ketterer)
ACCREDITATION PROCESS – SURVEYS -Below you will find the
link that will take you to the corresponding survey that you need to complete.
Please take some time from your busy schedule to complete the survey that will
provide valuable information towards the accreditation process and therefore,
school improvement.
A Spanish version of the survey
for parents is available in the email sent to parents with the weekly Monday
Memo. However the survey needs to be completed in English. The Spanish version
will help parents complete the English version as it is an exact copy of the
survey.

LOST AND
FOUND –
If your son or daughter has lost a sweater, Tupperware, or water bottle, please
send him or her to the office to check out the Lost and Found boxes. There are
many items that need to be claimed by their owners as soon as possible.
EARLY
CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY READ-A-THON– To commemorate Dr. Seuss’ birthday in March, the
students from grades Kindergarten through five will all be participating in the
month-long Read-a-Thon. The winner from each class will go out to
lunch as a special treat from our DPTO! Please encourage your students to read,
read, read, and fill out the reading logs that will be distributed next week.

P.E. CLASS THIS WEEK
The season is getting hotter! It is recommended for children to wear sunblock
and always have their water bottle with them.
*¡This quarter, the students are going
to have the opportunity to learn about the soccer game!
PRE-KINDER
We are still developing coordination
and improving gross motor skills with different games such as “Land and Sea”
and “Up and Down”.
KINDERGARTEN
We are improving coordination by
different games such as The Little Dogs. We are also going to play different
games with the jump rope to develop gross motor skills.
FIRST GRADE
This week we are going to play a soccer
game to reinforce the knowledge acquired through previous weeks.
SECOND GRADE
SECOND GRADE
This week we continue developing
pre-sports activities and techniques for soccer that we are going to put in
practice by playing a soccer game.
THIRD GRADE
THIRD GRADE
We continue working on pre-sports
activities to develop the soccer game. This week we will play some soccer games
to practice the knowledge acquired.
FOURTH GRADE
This week we continue working on
activities that promote endurance, teamwork, and the importance that each of
the team member has for the accomplishment of the group objectives.
FIFTH GRADE
This week will continue carry out
different activities to encourage teamwork and show the importance of each
member of the group has for the accomplishment of the group’s objective, we
will also play a soccer game.
