P.E. Class this week January 20 to January 23, 2015
I would like to remind
parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that
they have P.E. class:
- No dresses for
the girls
- No jeans
- No crocks
- No sandals
- No boots
Children who are not
wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E.
class.
General Information
ARTIFICIAL TURF (SOCCER FIELD AND PRE-SCHOOL
AREAS) -
Students may use tennis shoes, rubber-cleated
soccer shoes, or other soft footwear. Everyone should be aware that high-heeled
shoes are very damaging to this turf, and women should bring an extra pair of
shoes if they wish to enter of these areas. Thank you. (Dr. Ketterer)
BRICKS4KIDS – As an after school activity for our
younger students, the school has been in contact with Bricks4 kidz to offer six
one-hour, Friday- afternoon sessions beginning on Friday, January 30. There
will be a presentation for interested parents and teachers at 11:00 a.m. on
Friday, January 16 in the Library. Following the We learn-We build-We play
approach, Bricks 4 Kidz after-school classes build on the universal popularity
of LEGO® bricks to deliver a high
quality of educational play. For more

P.E. CLASS THIS WEEK
The season is getting hotter! It is recommended for children to wear sunblock and always have their water bottle with them.

KINDERGARTEN
We are working on different obstacles races
to improve coordination. We are also going to play different games with the
jump rope to develop gross motor.
FIRST GRADE
We are going to develop some pre-sport
activities such as passing the ball between partners in different ways.
SECOND GRADE
The students are going to learn how to
control the soccer ball, and some techniques to pass the ball to a partner.
THIRD GRADE
We are working on some pre-sports activities
to carry out a soccer game such as controlling the ball in different routes.
FOURTH GRADE
During this week we will continue developing
physical activities to improve endurance through games and activities such as
running and relays.
FIFTH GRADE
This week the fifth grades will be working on
different endurance skills, using different games such as Italian relays.
