P.E. SPTEMBER 27TH TO OCTOBER 1ST

PK AND KINDER
In this week we will continue working on lateralities, to develop these skills we are using games like scorpion and gallina ciega, will play the color race to further strengthen this knowledge.

1ST AND 2ND
We are working on baseball pre-sporting; we will play games throwing the ball in different ways, this week we are using tennis balls for these activities. We will also introduce the kids how to use the hurdle doing hurdle race.

3RD TO 5TH
This week to warm up we are going to do hurdle race, we are also working on baseball pre-sporting, playing with tennis ball, baseballs and plastic balls, for them to learn to handle different sizes and textures, so they can be ready when we play a game. With 5th grade, the last P.E. class of this week we are going to play a game, to put into practice what we have learned.

SECONDARY

With high school and middle school students will continue strengthening the physical capacity, with agility, endurance and strength exercises. We will also engage in various exercises to improve and develop the coordinative ability eye-hand, indispensable in the execution of baseball games, strengthen the knowledge of the rules of baseball through practice, playing games with the appropriate rules of baseball.

PE FIRST QUARTER

During the first weeks of this quarter we worked on the student’s physical fitness, taking into account that most students came from a long period of physical inactivity.

PK AND K
We have focused on learning to follow instructions, understand and listening commands, such as circles, lines, also through games children learned to recognize, clothing and colors, differentiate a boy and a girl.

The rest of the quarter we will focus on games to recognize laterality, such as up, down, left and right, elasticity games such a somersault. All activities are appropriate to the children’s age.

1st AND 2nd
We were strengthening to follow instructions and the proper warm-ups. We have worked to strengthen laterality, such as right and left, around, through it. At same time making games to strengthen their aerobic capacity, such as zombies, robbers and polices.

The rest of the quarter we will work on baseball pre-sporting activities, launching and grabbing balls activities, with balls of different sizes and bean bags. We are going to play some strategy games, such as scoops and kick ball games to strengthening the pre-sports.

3rd To 5th
We worked on the appropriate way to warm up, each student having the opportunity to provide an exercise. We were working on follow instructions by games and directions given to them and strategy games. Such as zombies, capiador, doge ball, robbers and police.

The rest of the quarter we will work on baseball pre-sporting activities, launching and grabbing balls activities, with balls of different sizes and bean bags, they are going to have the opportunity to learn how to use the baseball bat. We are going to play some strategy games, such as scoops and kick ball games to strengthening the pre-sports.

6th TO 8th
Was determined the physical level of each student through a test. This test measures the basic skills by age, working on speed, strength, stability and resistance.

9th TO 11th
Assessments were conducted to provide information needed to recognize the teenage weaknesses and strengths. We also evaluated strength, agility and endurance.

Once completed all assessments, the result set indicate which areas need to strengthen and thus be able to perform properly the sports grounds allocated to each quarter, starting with baseball and track and field this quarter.

The Physical Education Department recognizes the hard work done by some of our students who have participated in exhibitions and competitions and have won medals and trophies in extra curricular activities such as Swimming, Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Equestrian.
