P.E. Class this week August 15 to August 19, 2016
Welcome to another fun year at Discovery School, we are ready to begin the activities and have fun in the process.

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:

-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots

Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.



P.E. CLASS THIS WEEK


       Second Grade
This week students will practice different types of motor skills by using different indoors games as support. We will create a poster in groups of daily activities that promote health.

        Third Grade
This week the third graders will practice different games that will help them to build their motor skills and we will create a poster in groups of daily activities that promote health.

       Fourth Grade
Students will engage in activities that help in developing their physical abilities such as speed, strength and endurance. We will create a poster in groups of daily activities that promote health.

       Fifth Grade
The students will know their physical abilities in different kinds of muscles in addition to developing their motor skills. We will create a poster in groups of daily activities that promote health.

P.E. CLASS, AUGUST 15 - 19, 2011

CONGRATULATIONS
We would like to began the year by congratulating our students who have achieved excellent results in different sports disciplines during the summer vacations:
  • Juan Fernando Bautista from 3rd grade, for his outstanding performance in Gymnastics in the First National Games.
  • Ricky Espinoza from 4th grade, for his great participation in swimming and Gymnastics in Codicader games and the First National Games.
  • Ana Paulina Leal from 10th grade, 3rd place in Mountain Bike Competition  
  • Daniela Davila from 11th grade, for her classification to the World Youth Swimming Competition (Mundial Juvenil de Natación) in Lima, Peru.

P.E. CLASS THIS WEEK

Welcome to another fun year at Discovery School, we are ready to begin the activities and have fun in the process.

         PK
The students are going to engage in various activities with wooden blocks and different musical activities to develop motor skills.

        K
This week we will work on indoor activities and games for children to get used to following instructions.

        1st
With the indoor activities we will carry out this week the student will understand listening to commands such as homes, circle line, quiet signals.

        2nd
This week students will develop different types of motor skills by using different indoors games as support.

        3rd
This week the third graders will develop different games that will help them to build their motor skills.

       4th
Students will begin to engage in activities that help in developing their physical abilities such as speed, strength and endurance.

       5th
The students will know their physical abilities in different kinds of muscle in addition to developing their motor skills.

       6th
I will begin to provide to the sixth graders the necessary physical base, in subsequent weeks, that will determine there individual physical condition.

       7th to 11th

In these first few weeks of class, we will focus on regaining higher physical abilities of the students that were lost after a long vacation; thus, creating a base of muscle strength and endurance in order to develop classroom activities.
