P.E. Class this week, November 26 to November 30, 2012
-Wednesday November 28, Early Dismissal
- I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:
-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots
Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.

1.  Don’t expect every run to be better than the last one; some of them will hurt.
2.Don’t think too much about it or you won’t do it.
3.Even a bad run is better than no run at all.
4.If you normally run with music try skipping it and listening to your feet to hear your pace and your gait.
5.Don’t be discouraged if you don’t experience weight loss immediately.
6.Start a running blog and read other running blogs regularly.
7.Running is not an excuse to triple your intake of doughnuts because runners gain weight too.

P.E. CLASS November 26 to November 30
Pre-Kinder                
With the pre-kinder kids, we are going to develop motor skills through the manipulation of various objects, such as paddles and different size of balls.

Kinder
Strengthen the eye/hand coordination through ball activities with different surfaces, such us paddles.

First
The students are going to enjoy different types of paddles activities, such bouncing balls with the paddles to continue developing their motor skills.

Second
Through recreational activities, we will continue doing paddles games, which is a pre-sports activity for the tennis game.

Third
The students are going to develop throwing and catching activities with a partner to continue working with the tennis game.

-Thursday November 22 and Friday November 23, Holiday Thanksgiving

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:

-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots
Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.


1.  Sign up for a race as soon as you feel up to it.
2.Find a committed running partner. It is much harder to skip a run when you have someone else depending on you.
3.Remember that you will have plateaus in your progress and tough days along the way.
4.It gets easier.
5.Accept and appreciate the fact that not every single run can be a good one.
6.Be prepared to remove the words “can’t” and “never” from your vocabulary.
7.“Do not compare yourself to others. Run within yourself and for yourself first.

With the pre-kinder kids, we are going to develop motor skills through the manipulation of various objects, such as hula hoops and different size of balls.

Kinder
The students are going to enjoy different types of hula hoops games, such as monkey in the middle to continue developing their motor skills.

First
Strengthen the eye/hand coordination through ball activities with different surfaces, such us paddles.

Second
Through recreational activities, I will introduce the students to paddles game, which is a pre-sports activity for the tennis game.

Third
The students are going to develop throwing and catching activities to introduce the students to the tennis game through paddles, which is a tennis pre-sport activity. 

Fourth
The 4th graders will be practicing different skills to improve Basketball, and at same time, they will practice basic strategies of offensive and defensive.

Fifth
During this week, students use basic strategies of offensive and defensive to practice basketball; they are doing this by using game skills.

Community
1.  Join your local running club—check with your local running store fitness center and/or recreation department to find one.
2.Volunteer at a local race—meet runners support runners and connect with your Community.

Manners
3.Remember to say “Thank You!” to race volunteers (e.g. when you get that cup of water at the aid station) and family and friends who support you.
4.Conscientiously share the trail with walkers, bikers and other runners.
5.Always try to balance running with the people you love by making a schedule that involves and is considerate of everyone.
6.Don’t carry loose change. It will annoy those who are running with you.
7.Don’t neglect and irritate your family and friends by spending all your time running and talking about running.

I would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E. class:

-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans
-  No crocks
-  No sandals
-  No boots
Children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class.

MINUTA DAY ON FRIDAY – The Language Arts Festival Committe will be selling Minutas this Friday.


1.  Wear spandex shorts under your regular running shorts so you don’t chafe “down there.”
2.Cotton socks will only lead to blisters; invest in socks designed for running.
3.Ladies, do not skimp on a bra. Even if it costs more than your shoes it’s still a bargain.
4.Buy running clothes you look good in and that will motivate you to run.
5.Buy new running clothes at the end of the season when stores dump the old season’s line. Think clearance!
